Four Revenue Stage sessions to be held in Exhibit Hall

An exciting change to this year's Key Executives Mega-Conference program is a showcase of tech-oriented solutions to several of the most popular revenue challenges, to be held on the Revenue Stage in the Exhibit Hall. 

Moderated by Jed Williams of Vendasta, there are four programs, each with speakers showcasing revenue successes around hot topics in today's pursuit of revenue.

This programming offers one more reason publishers should bring key department heads with them to the Mega-Conference.  Special first-time rates of $495 also are available to newspaper executives who are attending the conference for the first time. Mobile (Monday, Feb. 22, at 2:15 p.m.)

  • Hear from HubCiti's Penny Merian how small hometown publishers are positioning themselves as the catalyst for community news and connections via easy-to-integrate mobile apps.
  • DoApp's CEO Wade Beavers shares success stories that show when niche apps make sense and how to find missing revenue by maximizing your content.
  • Eric Kanagy, Red Post's CEO/founder, and Bruce Cashbaugh, chief customer officer, share how Digital Out-Of-Home extends mobile campaigns into "omni-channel" opportunities.

Data for Ad Dollars:   (Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 9:15 a.m.)

  • TownNews.com and Lotame have teamed up to help smaller newspapers integrate data into their ad and content strategies for impressive results.  Brad Ward, president and chief operating officer of TownNews.com, will show you how they bring it together for publishers.
  • Matt Coen of Second Street shares success stories where smart use of contests, promotions and other engagement tactics can lead to building a strong and monetizable database.
  • Brendan King, CEO of Vendasta, will explain how sales teams are utilizing ad data and marketing automation to win in the hyper-competitive media marketplace.

Digital Advertising: (Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 1:30 p.m.)

  • Google's Adam Jones and Adcellerant's Brock Berry will share a new blueprint for publishers to fully take advantage of the Google Platform.
  • Making ads "shoppable" to drive your e-commerce business. Erin Ulicki, vice president of sales, Okanjo 
  • Plus an additional speaker to be announced.

  • Todd Handy, vice president/publisher development with Tout, will provide top tips for growing and monetizing your video.
  • John McIntrye, CEO of Sightly, will explain how publishers can get in on the game in the booming local video advertising market.
  • Derek Gebler, CEO of Field 59, and Emily Dressler, Calkins Digital, will share key components behind Calkins Media's big bet on OTT video.

Each of these break-out sessions will be moderated by Jed Williams, vice president, business development and strategy, Vendasta.
