The program has been announced for the Key Executives Mega-Conference, to be held Feb. 23-25 in Atlanta, Ga.

In planning your travel, you'll want to arrive in time to attend the morning bonus sessions on Monday, Feb. 23, which begin at 10 a.m.  You'll be able to choose from the following morning options:

Kirk MacDonald
Option 1:
Unlocking more revenue through new approaches to digital exchanges – it's not about remnant sales!  Kirk MacDonald, CEO of AdTaxi, and Conrad Jungmann, founding partner of LION Digital Media and Reynolds Journalism Institute Fellow, will share how publishers can unlock dollars by participating in premium exchanges and customized platforms.

  • 10 a.m. – Programmatic Buying Basics – Kirk MacDonald
  • 10:40 a.m. – Where the Dollars are Going and Where They Aren't – Kirk MacDonald

This session will adjourn at 11:20 a.m.

Option 2:
Hear how publishers can grow revenue and get other high-impact results with quick "how to" presentations from our R&D partners.  Best practice case studies and new ideas will be explained in four successive 20-minute presentations.  The four sessions run from: 10-10:20, 10:30-10:50, 11-11:20 and 11:30-11:50.

This session will adjourn at 11:50.

R&D companies are invited to submit a proposal for a Quick Bite session by Dec. 5.

The Trade Show also opens Monday morning at 10 a.m., featuring lots of great products and services that will save you money and help your newspaper make money.

Ken Doctor
The afternoon general session begins at 1 p.m. In a world in which Google and Facebook have become an effective duopoly, newspapers' direct relationships with customers have become the name of the new game. Leading media analyst Ken Doctor sketches out the age of relationship business models, including the fast-evolving use of Little Data.  In a talk titled "Into 2015: Relationship Newsonomics and Nine Other Dominating Trends," he shares best practices from top media companies – and separates out the big meaningful trends from the noise.
